CLIENT II Webinar: International environmental agreements
In this webinar, Axel Paulsch from the Science-Policy Interface (SPI) project accompanying the CLIENT II funding programme will provide an overview of the three important international environmental agreements and their respective conferences:
- The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
- The United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)
- The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD)
The aim of the webinar is to offer an introduction to these international processes and their relevance for CLIENT II projects. The webinar will also cover the different options for participating in the conferences, known officially as conferences of the Parties (COPs), and discuss which options may make sense for CLIENT II project coordinators and partners. Topics will include general attendance, official Side Events, non-official events, and information booths, also in light of the new circumstances under the COVID-19 pandemic The webinar will last for around 90 minutes, which will include plenty of time for you to comment and ask questions.
