Accompanying Projects and Regional Support

In addition to the central Client2Works accompanying project for the funding measure, the CLIENT II joint projects are supported by regional project offices in Vietnam, China and Central Asia in cross-border networking and transfer activities in the priority countries and regions. The accompanying project "Science-Policy Interface: Synthesis of project results and linking with processes of global environmental policy and their economic environment " also ensures that the results become part of the international environmental dialogue.

Hintergrund Themen Akkordeon-Liste

In order to increase the effectiveness of the funding measure, the accompanying scientific project Client2Works supports all CLIENT II-funded joint projects through targeted coordination, networking and general public relations work. The core tasks of Client2Works include the synthesis and preparation of results of the funded projects for the public, the networking of projects as well as the evaluation and estimation of the potential of the results of the funding measure and a contribution to the implementation and dissemination of the developed technologies. All information and events concerning Client2Works are available on the CLIENT II website in an internal section.

adelphi is leading the accompanying project for the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and, in addition to extensive experience in cooperation with the BMBF, has specialist expertise in the various research areas and topics of the funding measure as well as in the field of general sustainability research and regional expertise in the context of development cooperation.

The Institute for Biodiversity- Network is doing the flanking project Science-Policy Interface: "Synthesis of project results and linking with processes of global environmental policy and their economic environment". This project aims at bringing relevant results and innovations of the R&D-Projects to the attention of multilateral environmental agreements like CBD, UNFCCC, UNCCD and the Ramsar Convention. The respective projects are administered by the Project Management Agency DLR.

The project offices in Vietnam, China and Central Asia support bilateral cooperation with Germany in science and technology. They support ongoing research projects run under CLIENT II, for example by networking with local stakeholders, providing consultation on application and implementing the results.
