On January 16, the Minister for Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khodjaev, met Prof. Thomas Glauben, director of the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) and his colleagues Dr. Ihtiyor Bobojonov and Dr. Lena Kuhn, who are responsible for the coordination of the KlimALEZ project. In the meeting, the Ministry of Agriculture showed great interest in IAMO's research on the digitalisation of agriculture. Several concrete measures of the KlimALEZ project were discussed, such as the use of a flying drone to generate relevant research data. Minister Khodjaev invited IAMO to take a more active role in analysing the impact of agricultural reforms, and offered his support in IAMO's scientific transfer, research and education activities implemented in Uzbekistan.
