CLIENT II at climate conference in Dubai

The CLIENT II Science-Policy-Interface project team hosted a side event at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP 28) entitled “Renewable Energy Solutions on different scales in Africa and the Middle East”. The event primarily focussed on solar energy.

Two projects from the CLIENT II funding programme were presented, namely JOSSI and EnerSHelf. Harry Sayannos from Industrial Solar in Freiburg participated for JOSSI. Katja Bender and Stefanie Meilinger represented EnerSHelf online Meilinger from the University of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg. Axel Paulsch (Institute for Biodiversity – Netzwerk e.V.) moderated the event and presented the CLIENT II funding programme.

The German-Kazakh University, a partner in several CLIENT II projects, also organised a session on "Assessing and Addressing Climate Change Impacts in Central Asia: Challenges and Solutions" in the Central Asian pavilion. In this context, Axel Paulsch from the Science-Policy Interface presented the CLIENT II funding programme, the CASIB project office and the projects KlimALEZ, PV2Heat and KendyrTex (LINKS).
