The first Hamburg Sustainability Conference (HSC) will take place from 7 to 8 October 2024. It provides a new global political development platform for representatives from politics, pconomy, science, civil Society and multilateral organisations.

The conference facilitates an exchange between representatives from the Global South and Global North, particularly in times of increasing geopolitical crises. A bridge will be built between the political sustainability goals and their practical implementation. The German Federal Government aims to accelerate the global efforts to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

The event consists of two parts. Firstly, circle sessions are planned where global leaders discuss governance structures, necessary changes in international institutions and the formation of alliances for new sustainable financing instruments. Secondly, forum sessions will take place with partners from the Global South and Global North to discuss entrepreneurial approaches for achieving the SDGs.
