The RAIN project team was pleased to report that it held a successful dissemination workshop in Accra, Ghana. On 28th of September 2022 Ghanaian and German partners from research as well as the private and public sector discussed the results of the project “RAIN - Sustainable Technologies and Services for Adaptation to Climate Change in Flood- and Drought-prone Settlement Areas in Ghana”.

How can solar energy be used to generate steam for industry? Is it viable for my company? These were the kinds of questions answered at the latest workshop organised by the JOSSI project.

In October 2022 the project team of PEPcat met in Schwalmtal (GER) at the plant constructor SIMA-tec. The self-designed pilot plant will be built there in the coming weeks.

The DAMAST and DAMAST-Transfer project teams gave an insight into their research results so far at the conference on monitoring the lifespan of flood dams in Tbilisi on 15 September 2022. They were also able to present the ongoing and future work in the DAMAST-Transfer project.

On 14 September 2022, the DAMAST and DAMAST-Transfer teams organised a discussion meeting with Armenian scientists. Among other things, the participants discussed the state of the art and the improvement of research potentials.

After more than two years of compulsory break the ReWoRK-project team was able to continue their field work on the grounds of the project partner in Brazil.

The team of the PIRAT-System-project was able to finish the trials for phosphorus recovery in July 2022.

On the road in Vietnam on climate change adaptation: The Drought-ADAPT project team travelled to Vietnam for the first time since the start of the project.

The PeopleSuN project team has collected quantitative and qualitative data in Nigeria on electricity usage in rural areas.

In early July, a pre-print on the topic of irradiance over West Africa was published under the leadership of project collaborator Dr Windmanagda Sawadogo from the University of Augsburg. Other EnerSHelF project partners were also involved in the publication as co-authors.
